Taking
Autonomous Robots
to the
Field.
Hi, I'm Tolgahan — a Mechatronics Engineer. I work across autonomous robots, control systems, computer vision and industrial automation. Currently at Bluepath Robotics, I make sure autonomous mobile robots run safely in the field.

Taking robots from the lab
to the field.
Hi! I'm Tolgahan — I graduated from Izmir Katip Celebi University's Mechatronics Engineering department ranked first in my department, and I'm now pursuing an MSc in Robotics Engineering at the same university.
I love building at every layer of mechatronics: autonomous navigation, control systems, computer vision, industrial automation and mechanical design. I'm currently an AMR Test Engineer at Bluepath Robotics, making sure autonomous mobile robots operate safely in the field; previously I worked on AI, maintenance systems and autonomous robots at Ferrero, Norm Group, Onna Robotics and HetBot in Poland.
Where I Have Worked
AMR Test Engineer
- Configured and programmed SICK safety PLCs for overall vehicle safety logic
- Tested and calibrated safety and SLAM-based LiDARs (SICK, Hesai, Hokuyo, Leuze) and depth cameras (Intel RealSense D435i)
- Tuned and tested industrial motor drivers and controllers (Kinco, Zapi, Roboteq and miControl)
- Executed charge/discharge, thermal and inrush current tests on batteries (Pilsan, Birikim, Yiğit Akü, Inventus, Solion, Trojan) and tuned Delta-Q and Zivan SG3/NG3/NG5 chargers
- Executed integration and interoperability tests for VDA5050 compliance — monitoring robot communication via MQTT and managing fleets with OpenTCS, SYNAOS and CSS
- Debugged and monitored ROS/ROS 2 application nodes deployed via BalenaOS, with live data visualization and diagnostics
- Configured Siemens Scalance and Moxa infrastructure for industrial wireless communication; conducted in-vehicle CAN-bus network tests
Robotics Engineer
- AI-driven robotic systems for industrial inspection applications
- Autonomous control, sensor integration and real-time data processing
Erasmus+ Engineering Intern
- Conducted market research and evaluated LiDAR, camera and radar sensors for object detection in an outdoor AMR
- Researched and documented sensor testing procedures for validation and real-world performance assessment
- Trained and deployed a YOLOv8 model on a Luxonis OAK-D Pro stereo camera for real-time object detection
DigiConnect Intern
- Developed an 'AI-Supported Corporate Memory System' using Python and GPT APIs to optimize machine troubleshooting
- Collected and structured maintenance data from SAP and ProManage for AI model training
Maintenance Trainee
- Performed maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems in Nutella and Kinder production lines
- Developed PowerBI dashboards and executed SAP projects to optimize maintenance processes
- Designed 3D/2D mechanical components with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for production line improvements
Technologies I Use
What Have I Built?

Design and Navigation Control of an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)
Graduation project: a fully autonomous mobile robot with a ZED2 stereo camera, YOLO-based object detection, Particle Filter localization and A* path planning. I led both software and hardware end to end.
